      <description>The PaperCut printing system is going to be upgraded to the latest version and to have the new certificate applied.

      <title>Data Loss Prevention Update – Ongoing Issue Identified | Diweddariad Atal Colli Data – Mater Parhaus Wedi’i Nodi</title>
      <description>Known issue: Following the recent implementation of Data Loss Prevention (block with override) (Data loss prevention block with override rollout (EN)) it has been identified that the override function is not always working for colleagues still using Classic version of the 'Outlook' app resulting in some users being unable to send email with potential sensitive information/ files in them. If the outbound email fails, users will received an incoming email informing them of the block. 
 
Short term resolution - Report the issue occurring, attempt to use the web version or newer version of the Outlook App. 
 
Long term resolution - We are working within Microsoft to resolve this issue. However, it should be noted that it is advised that the web version or newer version of Outlook App should be utilised rather than the classic outlook app.

      <title>UniApps Upgrade | Uwchraddio UniApps</title>
      <description>UniApps service may be at risk for up to 60 minutes. A short downtime of around 15 minutes is expected, starting about 5 minutes in. Our team will monitor closely and restore service as quickly as possible.

      <title>PhD Manager Maintenance | PhD Manager Cynnal a Chadw</title>
      <description>Cayuse the company hosting the PhD Manager service are changing the SSO configuration to use Azure services.

Mae Cayuse, y cwmni sy’n cynnal y gwasanaeth PhD Manager, yn newid y ffurfweddiad SSO i ddefnyddio gwasanaethau Azure.

PhD Manager will not be available to users of the service during the change.
Cayuse have advised that if users experience issues after the change is completed (e.g. some users reported screen display issues following the migration, such as text appearing in the wrong place on screen), they should clear their browser cache, as this typically resolves this issue.

Due to a water leak in J block power to part of the building has been shut off while estates work to repair the leak, Network services are currently running "At Risk" due to this and users are advised to save work often in the event of an outage until the work is complete.

      <description>Internet and Wi-Fi services will be running ‘at risk’ during the updating of the wireless access points in G block.

There is a low risk to user disruption. However, Wi-Fi services should be considered at risk  in G block during these times. 

If you are working on site in G block whilst this work is being carried out, please remember to save your work regularly in case of any temporary outages.

      <title>Quercus Upgrade | Uwchraddio Quercus </title>
      <description>What is being done?

Quercus, the student records and admissions system is being upgraded to the latest version (8.36). 
Integrations with other systems—including Blackboard, SailPoint, Mulesoft, Connect2, and others—will be paused prior to the upgrade. A checklist of jobs will be followed to suspend and subsequently restart these services. This process is part of our standard procedure during scheduled maintenance.

How will this impact users?

Quercus will be unavailable from 16:30 on Friday, 7 November until 09:00 on Monday, 10 November. During this period, all users must refrain from attempting to access the system. 
Post-Upgrade Risk Window: On Monday, 10 November, Quercus should be considered “at risk” until 12:00 noon while post-upgrade checks are completed.

Why is this being done?

This upgrade is essential to apply the latest security patches and software updates, ensuring compliance and enabling critical functional enhancements.
