      <title>Retirement of People Card Expanded View in Classic Outlook | Cerdyn Ymddeol Pobl Golwg Ehangedig yn Outlook Clasurol</title>
      <description>What is being done?

Microsoft are retiring the people card expanded view from Classic Outlook starting June 1, 2026.

How will this impact users?

Users who use Classic Outlook and access the people card expanded view will no longer be able to use this.

Why is this being done?

Microsoft advise:

"The people card experience in Classic Outlook is simplifying. As part of this update, the people card expanded view in Classic Outlook will be retired. This change streamlines the experience and ensures consistency with other Office applications where only the standard contact card is available."

Bydd Microsoft yn tynnu’n ôl y golwg estynedig o’r Cerdyn Pobl yn Outlook Clasurol o 1 Mehefin 2026.

      <title>Conversion of Blackboard Original Courses to Blackboard Ultra | Trosi Cyrsiau Blackboard Original i Blackboard Ultra</title>
      <description>In December 2025 we notified Blackboard Original course/organisation owners of Blackboard’s decision to cease support. Further to that notice, we will begin the conversion of all remaining Blackboard Original courses to Blackboard Ultra. This action will take place In the last week of May/first week of June 2026 to ensure as little disruption as possible and to allow ample time to resolve any issues ahead of 01 January 2027, where all remaining Blackboard Original content will enter a “read-only” state.

Where we have received responses from course owners:

· Any Blackboard Original courses to be retained will be converted to Blackboard Ultra versions and remain available.

· Any Blackboard Original courses to be archived will be converted to Blackboard Ultra versions before archiving takes place to ensure they can be retrieved in a readable state in future.

Where we have not received responses from course owners:

Blackboard Original courses will be converted to Blackboard ultra versions and will remain dormant until we receive a request to make them available, or they reach their natural archiving age – where they will be archived.

All converted course versions will receive a “-U” suffix to their name to denote the new course version e.g. “THISCOURSENAME” will become “THISCOURSENAME-U”.

This action will not impact GoLearn courses.

• Bydd unrhyw gyrsiau Blackboard Original i'w harchifo yn cael eu trosi i fersiynau Blackboard Ultra cyn i'r archifo digwydd er mwyn sicrhau y gellir eu hadalw mewn cyflwr darllenadwy yn y dyfodol.

Lle nad ydym wedi derbyn ymatebion gan berchnogion cyrsiau:

Bydd cyrsiau Blackboard Original yn cael eu trosi i fersiynau Blackboard ultra a byddant yn aros yn segur nes i ni dderbyn cais i'w gwneud ar gael, neu nes iddynt gyrraedd eu hoedran archifo naturiol – lle byddant yn cael eu harchifo.

      <title>Data Loss Prevention Update – Ongoing Issue Identified | Diweddariad Atal Colli Data – Mater Parhaus Wedi’i Nodi</title>
      <description>Known issue: Following the recent implementation of Data Loss Prevention (block with override) (Data loss prevention block with override rollout (EN)) it has been identified that the override function is not always working for colleagues still using Classic version of the 'Outlook' app resulting in some users being unable to send email with potential sensitive information/ files in them. If the outbound email fails, users will received an incoming email informing them of the block. 
 
Short term resolution - Report the issue occurring, attempt to use the web version or newer version of the Outlook App. 
 
Long term resolution - We are working within Microsoft to resolve this issue. However, it should be noted that it is advised that the web version or newer version of Outlook App should be utilised rather than the classic outlook app.

      <description>Internet and Wi-Fi services will be running ‘at risk’ during the upgrading of the network to improve security and resilience.

There is a low risk to user disruption. However, all internet and Wi-Fi services should be considered at risk during these times.

      <title>UniApps Upgrade | Uwchraddio UniApps</title>
      <description>UniApps service may be at risk for up to 60 minutes. A short downtime of around 15 minutes is expected, starting about 5 minutes in. Our team will monitor closely and restore service as quickly as possible.

      <title>Network IT Services 'At risk' - Thursday, 8th January</title>
      <description>Following the water leak in J-Block that put Network services "At Risk" in December, ITS colleagues are working to restore underlying network services to our datacentre. This work is  not due to create service outages, but some users may experience a short disconnection or ‘blip’ in the network. If you notice an issue, please retry as this should rectify any issue. If that does not resolve the issue please raise a Freshservice ticket as normal.

      <title>PhD Manager Maintenance | PhD Manager Cynnal a Chadw</title>
      <description>Cayuse the company hosting the PhD Manager service are changing the SSO configuration to use Azure services.

Mae Cayuse, y cwmni sy’n cynnal y gwasanaeth PhD Manager, yn newid y ffurfweddiad SSO i ddefnyddio gwasanaethau Azure.

PhD Manager will not be available to users of the service during the change.
Cayuse have advised that if users experience issues after the change is completed (e.g. some users reported screen display issues following the migration, such as text appearing in the wrong place on screen), they should clear their browser cache, as this typically resolves this issue.

Ni fydd PhD Manager ar gael i ddefnyddwyr y gwasanaeth yn ystod y newid.
